CHCA has engaged in a dynamic
and interactive process, the Statewide Strategic Plan (SSP),
to develop a Five-Year Growth and Resource Plan for increasing
access to healthcare and reducing health disparities. The
SSP is an initiative undertaken to assist states in meeting
the President’s Growth Initiative. The Bush Administration’s
goal through this initiative is to expand health centers by
impacting 1,200 communities and increasing healthcare access
to an additional 6 million people nationwide by 2006. The
SSP includes:
- Analysis of the state’s unmet needs
- Plans for new locations/expanded access
- Required resource identification
- The SSP process complements the CHCA existing strategic
plan, market analysis and community development activities.
