"Celebrating America's Health Centers: Turning the Vision Into Reality" is the theme for National Health Center Week 2010 (NHCW). NHCW provides the opportunity to reflect on the recent progress Arkansas Community Health Centers (CHCs) have made through ARRA and State Funding. NHCW also provides Arkansas CHCs an opportunity to publicly acknowledge our commitment to fulfill the promise which began with the Access for All Arkansans plan, and that has been emboldened by the recent passing of Health Care Reform into law, to provide a health care home to nearly 240,000 Arkansans by 2015.

CHCA is planning two statewide events during National Health Center Week 2010. On Monday, August 9th, CHCA staff and Board Members will receive a Proclamation from the Governor and will hold a press conference in the rotunda of the Arkansas State Capitol building at 11:00 AM. This press conference will highlight the recent accomplishments of Arkansas CHCs as well as our plans for the future. On Tuesday, August 10th, CHCA will host a NHCW Celebration and Health Fair at White River Rural Health Center's Brinkley, AR location.
