Emergency Preparedness and Response

CHCA facilitates an Emergency Preparedness Advisory Team (EPAT) made up of representatives from participating CHCs. The purpose of the Advisory Team is to share best practices including policies and procedures aimed at developing a more strategic and consistent approach. In the event of an emergency or disaster, CHCA has a systematic approach to communicating with all the CHC locations.

CHCA has a clinical representative that sits on the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) Advisory Committee, and a representative from ADEM sits on the EPAT. This cooperation facilitates information sharing between ADEM and the EPAT.
