But in the long run, that approach is risky. Focusing on your general health is especially important now, said Community Health Centers of Arkansas Chief Executive Officer LaShannon Spencer. "We know that people with diabetes, heart problems, and other underlying health concerns are more susceptible to COVID-19," Spencer said. "Eat healthy, go for regular walks, and, check in with your medical providers. Community Health Centers are here to help Arkansans through this crisis." Spencer's comments echos Arkansas Health Secretary Nate Smith who recently urged Arkansans to use this "opportunity to become a healthier version of yourself." The 11 members of the CHCA offer coronavirus testing at more than 60 sites throughout the state. We also offer a full range of primary care treatment and prevention services that are still available to the public. We urge patients to call first to set up an appointment.  It's important to know also that telehealth services are available at Community Health Centers. Patients can get needed consultations from a doctor or nurse without having to visit a clinic. Telehealth can be through a smart phone, computer, or tablet. But if your symptoms require a face-to-face visit, please know that we take every care to ensure your safety during this time.
