Governor Beebe Appoints CHCA’s Brett Tracy to HIE Council

Governor Mike Beebe recently appointed CHCA’s Brett Tracy to the Arkansas Health Information Exchange (HIE) Council. The Council’s purpose is to advise and assist in the development of the statewide health information exchange, SHARE (State Health Alliance for Records Exchange).

Tracy currently serves as CHCA’s Health IT/Research Director and is the Project Manager for the Arkansas Health Center Controlled Network (AHCCN). He has a background in practice management and public health, having previously worked for Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health (CTEH) in North Little Rock, Arkansas. 

In addition to the Arkansas HIE Council, Tracy currently represents Arkansas community health centers on the following Boards, Committees, and Coalitions:

  • Arkansas Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Board, Communications/Web Chair, 2011-present
  • HIMSS Ambulatory Community Health Organizations (ACHO) Taskforce 2010-Present
  • Arkansas Health Information Exchange HIT Taskforce, 2009-Present
  • American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), 2009-Present
  • American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), 2007-2008
  • Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), 2007-2008
