School Based Health Centers

February is National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month!

Via the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care

We’re passionate about school-based health care because we know school-based health centers are the best way to keep students healthy and in the classroom.

That’s why we do this work every day – so that kids have access to the care they need to thrive.

Community Clinic Receives $500,000 for School Based Health Center

Community Clinic, one of Arkansas' 12 FQHCs, received $500,000 to open a School Based Health Center in Springdale, AR. On July 14, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced they had awarded $95 million in competitive federal grants for school-based health centers (SBHCs) to 278 programs across the country. These programs will improve access to basic primary health care for school-aged children, many of whom have no other sources of care.
